Artist's Choice at MoMA presents Vik Muniz

Category: Entertainment

Vik Muniz is the ninth artist presented by Artist's Choice exhibition series at MoMA. The exhibition is artist's personal selection and installation of temporary exhibitions from the Museum's collection...and Vik Muniz did it just right!.

"I WILL NOT MAKE ANY MORE BORING ART" by John Baldessari perfectly explains that Mr Muniz chose certain pieces and artists to create the exhibition that is challenging.

His installation at MoMA is a wonderful puzzle of many great artists...he calls it REBUS, which means a puzzle that combines unrelated elements, both visual and linguistic, and creates single narrative. His REBUS is a true art of art picking, and Mr Muniz deserves all the credit.

From the very beginning to the very end, there is a logical sequence to it, every piece relates and each element adds the flow to the story. His selection of the most well known contemporary artists and his research and selection of artists and their pieces showcase the logic of his installation.

Among the best known and the most acclaimed artists are Warhol, Koons, Picasso,Rama, Baldessari, Steiner, Penn, Sugimoto, Edgerton, Bonetto and many other...their work flows together and creates the puzzle that engages the viewers to relate one object with the other...the objects relate to life, time, functions etc. The installation ends with Edward Ruscha's The End art.

...and it must be mentioned that the installation perfectly explains Einstein's theory of time.

"The only reason for time is so that everything doesn't happen at once".
