Polish Culinary Signature - Pierogi

Today I received an amazing email. The sender shared with me her wonderful experience with Tonique workouts, and her passion for Polish delicacies, in particular her appetite for pierogi.

I am from Poland, and I was brought up on cheese, kefir, potatoes, pierogi garnished with bacon, and stuffed cabbage called golabki...they are all very delicious, but surely these are not the healthie...

Summer - perfect the time for resolutions

Last weekend, we welcomed the official beginning of summer – with hot and sunny days, a relaxed attitude towards work, a white dress for July 4th, long summer evenings with family and friends, and a season of fresh fruits, sweet corn and aromatic tomatoes. This is my favorite of all the seasons. I don't feel trapped indoors, and I feel that people are more friendly and open, and more relaxed...

Forget substitution, remember moderation

On Sunday night, we decided to go out for a family dinner. The initial plan was to go to a movie and afterwards grab a bite, but since the movie was sold out, we took advantage of the summery weather and relax in an outdoor restaurant setting. Kids were behaving, food was ok, the sitting outside and watching the people passing by was priceless...it reminded me for a split second of my single days ...

BE Shake

There are two great alternatives to soy milk that I discovered on my recent visit to Wholefoods. Almond and Hazelnut milk, both taste delicious and I was pleasantly surprised of the quality, taste, and nutritional content - there were not super sweet and for sure not loaded with fat. They are wonderful as a refreshing drink on its own or as a base for your shake.

BE Shake I (BE = Beau...

Rawdelicious

I am not vegeterian and for sure I am not vegan. I used to be for some time but my passion for food and exploring different dishes from around the world didn't go along with several restrictions I had to face. I eat meat - accept pork - I shop mostly organic and outside my kitchen I eat only in selected places where I know the chefs use fresh ingredients and support local farms.

The pleasure of gelato

You don't have to travel to Italy to taste the authentic gelato. I got addicted to Italian style ice cream - galato - during my studies in Italy.
